I am a homeschooling mother of four children.  Bugaboo, our oldest daughter, was born in 2007; Beanie, our younger daughter, was born in 2008; Mr. Man, our oldest son, was born in 2010, and Baby Guy, our younger son, was born in 2011.  We had children born too soon in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2009, and look forward to meeting them in Heaven at the end of our days.  My husband and I were both born in 1971, in case you’re curious.  We have no idea whether the tribe will increase further, but if it does, I promise to update this “about” page with gender (s) and nickname (s).  Oh — those aren’t our children’s real names 🙂  We’re a little odd here, but not THAT strange.

Before I took on my current employment, I had successful careers in the insurance industry and as a special education teacher.

My husband and I are observant Catholics; politically, we are conservative with the occasional libertarian tendency.

  1. Wow, my heart goes out to your angels but how wonderful that you know that you will see them again! You seem to be a very inspiring lady! I am looking forward to reading your blog and following your family!
    God Bless!

  2. I just wanted to stop by quickly and let you know I have given to you The Beautiful Blogger Award. You can pick up on my blog, under To These I Give the Beautiful Blogger Award. Sorry but right now do not have time to give address. It is in my recent post. God Bless, SR

  3. Keep up with the homeschooling! A lot of people make fun of it, but it’s probably the best thing for most kids. I was homeschooled all the way from kindergarten through highschool, and I’m glad I was.

  4. I don’t mean to intrude on you very nice blog site. I just wanted to stop by to thank you for visiting Cry and Howl. I’m sorry for the loss of your little ones and I can tell that even that has not shaken your faith in God. I admire you very much for that. I love your blog; the love, life, laughter and family fun everyone should enjoy. I hope you all have a very good weekend.

    • No intrusion at all, Steve! Thank you for your kindness and your visit. I’ll be one of your daily readers; your perspective is quite agreeable to me, and your writing style makes for enjoyable reading. Peace be with you, and may the Lord bless you with wisdom and grace!

  5. I’ve been checing here daily and haven’t seen you Kelly. I”m just stopping by to tell you that I hope you and your beautiful family have a wonderful and safe New Year. You’ve been a blessing to me Kelly and I want to thank you for visiting Cry and Howl as often as you do. May the Lord bless you and your loved ones in every way. Knowing people like you make life worth the living!

    • Hiya, Steve 🙂 I’ll be back in a couple of days. Right now, I’m concentrating on Deedaw, Manie, and the midget mob. It would not be an exaggeration to say that losing Nonno has devastated Bugaboo. Peace be with you, gentle friend. — Kelly

      • Good morning Kelly. You go ahead and concentrate on your family little lady. I’m sad the little one is mourning over the loss within your family and in these situations words of comfort are nearly impossible to find. We all deal with the loss of a loved one differently and about all I know is it gets somewhat better as time goes on. Bugaboo will be okay as life’s journey takes him on many highs and lows and knowing the kind of family he has he will have many more “highs” than lows.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take good care and write when you can.
        Your friend always,

Please share your thoughts! I don't know who reads this, but the stats tell me someone does. I'd like to know what you took from our little stories and prayers.
