Epiphany

On this day, we mark the Epiphany; it is the day when all the shiny, sparkly things are put away for 10 1/2 months and the family room becomes usable by the entire household again.  This presents a phenomenal opportunity to break out the art supplies and create new decorations for the entire house.  Since the present unit in Bugaboo’s curriculum involves using all five senses to experience the wonder of Creation, let’s see what multisensory projects the tribe can conceive.  The weather today is supposed to be sunny and warm, so for an added bonus, we can look for materials and assemble projects outside!

Today’s prayer:  Lord, today is the “official” celebration of the world’s realization that You had sent the priceless gift of Your Son.  Please help me teach Your blessings that we celebrate His life every time we forgive a hurt, comfort a sad friend, or feed someone who hungers — even if we don’t have any twinkling lights or tinsel decking our halls.  I want to show them that every day has its own epiphanies, when we see Your Son in the people around us — and, if we pay attention, we may catch a glimpse of Him in ourselves.

Please share your thoughts! I don't know who reads this, but the stats tell me someone does. I'd like to know what you took from our little stories and prayers.
